I know you,ll think i,m nuts but I had a huge planters wart on my hand when I was a kid and accidently Got the inner bark of an apple tree on it and it went away in less than a week. I tried it on two other people and it worked for them to. Coincidence? I really think it works. Peel off a little of the outer layer and wet some of the inner layer with water and peel some off and rub it into the wart. It makes like a brown stain on it and it will be gone in a week or so. I can,t guarantee it but it worked for me.

I would go to the doctor…they will freeze it, and give you some medicine..believe me the doctor is better than anything you can buy over the counter for planters warts.

You can dig just be sure whatever you use to dig w/ u clean and don’t use for anything else other than the wart so you don’t spread the wart to other places.

You can’t get a plantar wart on your thumb.
Plantar warts, by definition, are on the plantar surface, or sole, of the foot.
Plantar warts are caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV), and can spread to other parts of the body (where they aren’t called plantar warts, however).
If you have a wart on your thumb, you shouldn’t dig at it, but let the medicine do it’s job. See a doctor if over-the-counter treatment doesn’t work. OTC treatment of HPV warts is very ineffective, and even medical treatment by a doctor doesn’t always work. Be careful – they are contagious, and can spread to other people, too.

i think digging through it and removing it yourself will speed up the process. if you can take some of the dead roots out without pain its fine.

Well you shouldn’t be picking on it. Would you like to cause an infection? Just out the acid on it and cover it up and leave it be. It will eventually clear up and if not go to the doctor.
