Salicylic Acid Actully Removes Impurities In Skin?

I am about to try some Salicylic Acid as I have blackheads and whiteheads and all that junk in my skin and the turn to pimples one by one disappearing in 2-3 days but leaving red marks that last longer. I was looking at ebay and I found some peels. Thay have them at 5,10,15,20% levels. Which one should I buy and will they actually get rid of the junk in my pores?

It’s not a good idea. It’s an acid, remember? It will burn your skin, so that a layer of it peels off. It will dry your skin something awful, and leave you looking scalded. You will break out just as badly from dry skin as well. Instead of attacking your skin, try a gentler approach. Open your pores with a nice steamy shower, and then use plain old soap and water. Wipe your face down with a clean cotton pad and witch hazel, which sooths and kills germs. Then apply a drop of tea tree oil to the spots you have. They make blackhead removal strips for noses, and those will work anywhere you have them- just sometimes a bit more tricky on other parts of the face. Wipe your face down a couple times a day with the witch hazel to keep it clean and the bacteria under control, with tea tree oil to the whiteheads. Otherwise, keep your hands off your face. If you are shaving, use a new razor blade each time, and wash your face well afterwards to get the shave cream off. Then wipe down with the witch hazel. It doesn’t work immediately, but it does work. My teens have all done this with great results. But leave the acid peels alone. They are best left for the dermatologists to use, if it really comes to that.
